    2. Editing an Existing Asset Status

Adding a New Asset Status

You may come across an asset status that Incident IQ does not already have (such recycling, scrapped, etc). Administrators have the ability to create new asset status as needed. To do so, begin by clicking on Administration > Asset Statuses on the left navigation bar. At the top right corner click on Add Asset Status.

Next, enter in all the required information. Finally, if you are using multiple modules in Incident IQ, you can select the product visibility of your new model. This allows you to selectively enable and disable the availability of model by product module when creating and editing models.

Please note: when editing or deleting a funding source, this will also automatically change for all assets utilizing this asset status as well. Before making any changes, you may want to export your asset data to provide a backup source of information in case changes need to be undone.

Editing an Existing Asset Statuses

Administrators can edit asset statuses if needed. To do so, begin by clicking on Administration > Asset Statuses on the left navigation bar. On the Asset Statuses page, click on the specific asset name you want to edit.

If you are editing a default asset status then the only option available for editing in the fly-out window is product visibility.

However, if you are editing a custom asset status, in addition to the visibility options you will also be able delete the asset status and edit all fields of information.

Please note: when editing or deleting an asset status, this will also automatically change for all assets utilizing this asset status as well. Before making any changes, you may want to export your asset data to provide a backup source of information in case changes need to be undone.
