Aeries SIS Integration Installation

Guide Overview

The Aeries Integration allows administrators to seamlessly integrate Aeries with Incident IQ by automating most aspects of your data upload. This provides administrators the ability to easily manage the sync and mapping options for users, groups, and locations between the two programs in one convenient location. The following guide provides step-by-step instructions on how to integrate the Aeries with Incident IQ.

Setup and Installation

Before beginning the installation process in Incident IQ, you will first need to set up the Aeries Rest API plug-in to give iiQ read-only access to your Aeries user data. You can find instructions on how to do so here. Once you have set up the Rest API plug-in, select Incident IQ Apps > Browse on the left navigation bar.

Click on the Aeries App and then select Install to begin.

Step one of the installation process simply provides an overview of what the Aeries Integration will install into Incident IQ. Select Continue once you are ready to proceed to step two.

In step two, you will need to enter your Aeries Urlconsumer key, and consumer secret. Each of these fields must be filled out in order to continue and are available to you after setting up an Aeries vendor record for your district. If you have not already set up this vendor record in Aeries you will need to do so at this time. Once you have completed this section select Validate & Save to proceed.

In the next step, you will be asked to match Aeries locations to Incident IQ locations. You do not have to set all locations at this time, but you will be required to at least provide a Default Location. This is the location that accounts imported from Aeries are assigned when they do not match your location mappings. When you are ready to proceed select Continue.

Before moving on to step three, you may make changes to any section by clicking on any of the checked settings. When you are ready to proceed select Continue.

Step three allows you to set whether Aeries is available for ticket submission. By default, Aeries is enabled, but if you do not wish to utilize the ticketing functionality you can simply uncheck the model activation box. When you are ready to proceed select Continue.

At this time you will be asked to review all of the changes that are about to be made to your Incident IQ site. Before moving on please keep in mind that after the installation process begins it cannot be stopped. Once you have completed your review select Install App to begin the integration process.

Once the installation process has completed you can now access the app management page to make any additional setting changes, as well as run your first data sync.
