A spare group is a set of one or more spare pools. Spare groups can be built using models or model categories, like teacher laptops, student Chromebooks, or student tablets.

Under Assets on the left sidebar, click Spare Pool, then click Manage. At the top right corner, click on Add Spare Group. Next, enter the name of the spare group. Then, add filters to identify when this spare group should appear on a ticket, allowing agents to assign a spare device from that ticket. Please note if no filters are added, the spare pool widget will appear on all tickets. 

Next, uncheck the option Assets are Read Only if the asset needs to be edited while in the spare pool. Otherwise, assets in spare pools will be locked for editing. Click Save
